Warning: This article contains spoilers for Daredevil: Born Again episodes 1-4.

Daredevil: Born Again serves as both a soft reboot and a continuation of the iconic Netflix series. This dual role makes it challenging to discern whether newly introduced characters are fresh faces or obscure roles from earlier episodes.

One such intriguing puzzle revolves around Adam, a name frequently mentioned as someone significant from Vanessa Fisk’s past. In episode 4, the mystery deepens but also provides some long-awaited answers about his identity. It appears that Wilson Fisk – also known as Kingpin – has sinister schemes involving him.

As the plot unfolds in Daredevil: Born Again episode 4, we discover that Vanessa had an affair with Adam while Wilson was away. Our Daredevil recap recollects how Wilson ended up imprisoned at the end of Daredevil season 3. In the interim, Vanessa took command of the criminal world while Wilson’s whereabouts remained a mystery, and Vanessa started an affair with Adam.

Though Adam did not feature in the original Netflix run, he has recently entered Vanessa’s life. The concluding scenes of the episode reveal Adam for the first time. Rather than being forgiven, Wilson reveals that he has been holding Adam captive in his basement, as seen by his worn appearance, implying prolonged captivity.

Beyond revealing him, we now know the actor playing Adam is Lou Taylor Pucci, noted for his role in the 2013 Evil Dead remake. This casting quashes theories hinting he might play the enigmatic MCU villain Muse.
