Terraria fans have reason to celebrate as the much-anticipated 1.4.5 update nears and tModLoader hits record highs on Steam. But before its release, a devoted fan has added excitement with the creation of a comprehensive modpack.
This master modpack, known as The Bereft Souls, is a treasure trove of nearly every mod a Terraria enthusiast could dream of. Spearheaded by a fan named Brome, the modpack’s development journey and what it offers are detailed in a captivating YouTube video, showcasing everything from gameplay progression to fresh mod features enthusiasts can expect.
So, how did Brome make this happen? A few months back, he launched a Patreon campaign that Terraria enthusiasts eagerly supported, propelling his project forward. The campaign’s success allowed Brome to recruit a team, successfully merging major mods into one cohesive and easily accessible download, while also enhancing them and resolving any compatibility issues.
Highlighted in The Bereft Souls are well-loved mods like Calamity, the iconic Thorium, and Consolaria, which aims to transfer all console-exclusive features to the PC version. This includes personal favorites such as the Danganronpa-inspired Monokuma set, originally available only in Japan for console users. The collection of mods is impressive, but the broader impact of The Bereft Souls is even more significant.
Brome’s initiative with The Bereft Souls paves the way for future ambitious projects in the Terraria community. As update 1.4.5, the sixth and potentially final update, draws nearer, creators may surprise us with even more ingenious packs. The groundwork has been set, much like in the modding world of Baldur’s Gate 3. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to delve back into my favorite sandbox game.
