Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc has its release date set, adding excitement to the already thrilling lineup of 2025 anime premieres. Fans in Japan can look forward to watching it in cinemas on September 19. However, a date for the western release remains unannounced. This exciting update was shared during a session at this year’s AnimeJapan event.

An intriguing tweet confirmed the arrival of 『チェンソーマン レゼ篇』, promising an intense battle intertwined with a tender coming-of-age tale.

What should viewers expect from the Reze Arc? Serving as a direct extension of Chainsaw Man’s first season instead of a new season, it integrates tightly with the story’s canon.

The official synopsis reveals some exciting plot points: “Denji became Chainsaw Man, a boy with a devil’s heart, and has joined Special Division 4’s devil hunters. Following a date with the enigmatic Makima, Denji seeks refuge from the rain, where he meets Reze, a café employee.” This movie will adapt the renowned Bomb Girl arc (chapters 40-52), which is nestled within the series’ first part, the Public Safety Saga, setting the stage for explosive developments.

In other anime news, Demon Slayer Infinity Castle is set to deliver the first chapter of Tanjiro’s climactic story in July in Japan, and in September for audiences in the US and UK. On the small screen, anime enthusiasts can anticipate the upcoming spring season’s exciting titles, including Fire Force season 3, the highly-anticipated Devil May Cry, and the return of One Piece this April.
