From stunning armor sets for Naoe and Yasuke to eye-catching weaponry and charming tea sets or paintings for my base, these have been the heart and soul of my in-game journey. Each decision about where I go next is heavily influenced by where the most appealing loot resides or which goals grant the most desirable rewards.

For someone who’s a long-standing fan of the series, this is a dream come true. Now, I can indulge my decorating instincts with Sims-like building features, effortlessly arranging rooms in my own vision of feudal Japan. Whether it’s setting up a tea room, a study, or a forge, carving out my space is a joy.
It soon hit me that a true home brims with treasures reflecting my adventures as Yasuke or Naoe—valuable knick-knacks that breathe life into the environment. I revel in the ability to choose decor for each room, such as weapon displays, clothing racks, or walls adorned with art. Discovering the various layouts encouraged me to explore the sprawling world for items that add personality to my haven.
Sketching animals in the wild has become one of my sweetest pastimes. It’s a delightful activity that not only helps me pause and appreciate the game’s rich ecosystem but also serves a functional purpose. Whenever I channel my inner artist, I document the ink paintings I’ve created, which then transform into unique decor for my base. With countless unique outfits and weapons available for Yasuke and Naoe, I revel in the flexibility transmog gives me—selecting my preferred looks without sacrificing gameplay stats. Though transmog isn’t new in RPGs, Shadows offers the Assassin’s Creed series a standout approach, granting the ability to alter each gear’s visual style, from weapon handles to blade decorations.
With a finely crafted open-world backdrop, attention to detail shines through in the intricate designs and patterns embellishing weapons and armor. The transmog feature wonderfully elevates these artistic elements, allowing full customization.
In my quest for striking gear, I’ve been exploring castles scattered across the landscape. Each one harbors legendary treasures, challenges like eliminating daisho enemies to unlock chests, and the map conveniently reveals the potential loot.
I’ve strategically targeted specific castles, investing effort solely to acquire the exquisite armor inside—like a stunning black ensemble with elegant gold-threaded details for Naoe. The promise of adding more such designs to my collection continues to drive my exploration.
