The exact duration of the live stream remains unknown. It’s not typical for Marvel to release news unexpectedly, with only a brief teaser shared on the company’s Twitter/X channel.

The next big reveal was Anthony Mackie joining the lineup! This Captain America star hints at new Avengers cast members since he consistently teased his return during the Captain America: Brave New World press tour. During an interview, Mackie excitedly mentioned, “I’m really thrilled about the idea of old meeting new. The OG, original cast members of the MCU, and all the new people forming a massive conglomerate.”

Joining him is Sebastian Stan, aka Bucky Barnes. Fresh from his cameo in Captain America: Brave New World, Stan is set to entertain in Thunderbolts, alongside notable antiheroes.

A further touch of confirmation arrived via a Marvel Entertainment update shared on the official Avengers Twitter channel, declaring that Avengers: Doomsday is “now in production.”

Letitia Wright was another name featured in the all-star lineup. With the Black Panther theme playing, her inclusion signifies a powerful continuation for her character, Shuri, as Black Panther.

The comic levity didn’t end there, with Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man welcoming his return to Avengers: Doomsday with a tiny chair on set—a delightful nod to his character’s scale-shifting antics. Rudd joked about the famous Thanus theory while promoting his role in Death of a Unicorn.

As expected, Wyatt Russell joined the announcement as John Walker from Thunderbolts. His character’s unpredictable journey makes for a fascinating arc as part of this ensemble cast.

Tenoch Huerta Mejia, known for his villainous portrayal of Namor in Black Panther 2, is adding more depth by joining Doomsday. Future dynamics between him and Shuri, given their unexpected alliance, hold many intriguing possibilities.

Continuing with much fan anticipation, the first nod was to the classic Avenger, Chris Hemsworth. Known for his role as Thor, there’s buzz about his reunion with his sibling Loki, given the latter’s significant story arc evolution in Loki Season 2.

The crossover excitement doesn’t stop there. Ebon Moss-Bachrach, playing Ben Grimm in Fantastic Four, is in the mix. Many speculate on the relationships between past MCU narratives leading to new and exciting team-ups. Rumors of Robert Downey Jr. reprising a different role as Doctor Doom, teasing intricate connections across the Marvel universe and potential appearance

Simu Liu’s Shang-Chi is another eagerly awaited addition. Although the sequel to his debut film is postponed, audiences are thrilled at his confirmed return as a formidable force in the superhero world.

Dynamic actors like Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova are also on board. Her role in Thunderbolts positions her as another vital character for the future of Avengers: Doomsday.

In a stunning turn, Kelsey Grammer returns as Beast from the X-Men universe, igniting new hopes for integration of mutants into the MCU canon. Hints about Professor Xavier’s plans and multiverse implications add a layer of complexity eagerly anticipated by fans.

There’s excitement to see if Lewis Pullman’s Sentry potential is truly unleashed on screen. He represented only as ‘Bob’ in Thunderbolts so far.

Surprising no one but delighting all, Pedro Pascal was another major addition—a welcomed force in the franchise. His portrayal of Reed Richards in Fantastic Four: First Steps builds expectations for fiery encounters against Doctor Doom.

Concluding in dramatic fashion, Robert Downey Jr., now as Doctor Doom, closed the announcements with a theatrical whisper and walk-off during the live stream.
