Understanding how to revive teammates in REPO is essential as it could save your squad from having to restart entirely. In this monster-laden horror game, succumbing to peril is all too common, making revive knowledge crucial. However, reviving isn’t straightforward—teammates must either retrieve remains (and loot extensively) or risk respawning with minimal health.
When a player falls in REPO, their character becomes a ‘Broken One’, immobilized until revived or the match concludes. Notably, Broken Ones are excluded from in-game voice chat, rendering them silent (though a modification allows head movement post-mortem).
To initiate a revival, the critical component is locating the fallen player’s head. This is typically found near where they met their fate. Open the map (TAB key) to spot a dot matching the teammate’s character color, denoting their last known position. Secure the head like any item and deposit it on the extraction platform.
Reviving isn’t instantaneous. It requires meeting a loot quota—more loot must be added to the platform until the quota at the screen’s top right is reached. With a larger team, it becomes notably more manageable. Once activated, the revived teammate appears at the extraction point with a mere 1 HP but can enter the truck to increase to 25 HP. Full recovery happens upon returning to the service ship.
Since reviving is intertwined with looting, it’s vital to master REPO’s basics. Failing to revive means the Broken One waits for the team’s return or until all have perished—a much less favorable result, necessitating a restart.
Players auto-revived at round start, rather than at the extraction point, begin with only 1 HP, posing a challenge with lurking monsters. Fortunately, you can share HP with allies—stand behind, aim at their back, and hold the left mouse button to transfer 10 HP. For example, transferring HP from 80 to 1 elevates them to 11 while reducing yours to 70. Repeat if needed but remain mindful of your own health.
Monitor your health points at the screen’s top left; the green numbers beside the plus sign indicate remaining HP. Ideally, avoid excessive HP reallocation by employing the head-to-extraction strategy for reviving.
Currently, REPO is exclusively on PC in early access, but a PS5 version isn’t off the table.
