Though October still feels distant, dedicated fans have some time to stick to their routine of 100 push-ups, sit-ups, squats, and 10km runs as they await Saitama’s electrifying return in season 3 of One Punch Man. To whet the appetite for the upcoming episodes, two intriguing new images have been released, showcasing the formidable foes that our hero will confront.

The first image reveals Monster King Orochi, who is slated to be the main antagonist in the ‘Mysterious Being’ saga. Having claimed supremacy over the Monster Association, Orochi has proven himself to be vastly superior to any foe that Saitama or his valiant comrades have encountered. Alongside Orochi stands his eerie subordinate, Gyoro-Gyoro, a one-eyed, gelatinous creature. These designs are the ingenious creations of Ryosuke Shirokawa and Shinjiro Kuroda. You can view these new visuals of One Punch Man’s impending challenges here.

While these antagonists appear daunting, the true adversary might be time itself. It’s been six years since the second season wrapped up in 2019, leaving fans yearning for more. Back then, the series struggled to echo the success of its 2015 debut, with significant dips in animation and storytelling quality. Anxiety resurfaced with the revelation that the season 3 trailer was the work of merely one animator, prompting fears of repeated past mistakes.

We hope that One Punch Man resurges spectacularly when he takes on the third season this October.
