Oblivion Remastered takes a wild turn as a streamer known as Blurbss crafts a unique experience by modding every NPC to indulge in Skooma constantly. Famous for adding vocal prowess to NPCs in Skyrim and Red Dead Redemption 2 via his Twitch innovations, Blurbss unleashes his magic on Oblivion. Integrating those interactive chat features into the infamous persuasion system, he orchestrates another layer of chaos in Cyrodiil.
For those unfamiliar, Skooma is a notorious substance widely banned throughout Tamriel. It’s quite unexpected to witness Emperor Uriel Septim casually sipping on it right as the game begins, courtesy of Blurbss’ inventive mod.
The effects of Skooma are both exhilarating and debilitating. While it boosts speed and strength for a short burst of 20 seconds, it severely diminishes Agility and Intelligence. This imbalance has hilarious yet chaotic consequences; some characters who partake find themselves speeding around uncontrollably, while others, lacking sufficient Agility, faint instantly.
Uriel Septim, a rather frail leader at his age, experiences the brunt of this drain. As he enters Blurbss’ cell with his Blades entourage, his Imperial attire is mysteriously altered—a quirk possibly induced by the Skooma, igniting newfound confidence in his appearance.
The remaining video captures a frenzied scene of horses and NPCs darting about too swiftly for Blurbss to engage, providing humor in Cyrodiil‘s sprawling landscapes. This phenomenon becomes downright daunting when faced with guards or in the confines of the Arena. While it isn’t the orthodox way to relish Oblivion, it mirrors the tumultuous effects of a widespread drug occurrence.
Embracing the chaotic nature of this mod, Blurbss wittily claims the title of Oblivion Remastered’s top gladiator by pulling opponents, literally and figuratively, down to his level.
