My most eagerly anticipated farming sim, Grave Seasons, has just unveiled a new trailer and a release window, creating a mix of excitement and intrigue.
Grave Seasons has captivated my interest due to its captivating setup. It parallels beloved sims like Stardew Valley, bringing a similar wholesome and cozy vibe. However, the twist lies in a supernatural serial killer roaming free, targeting NPC villagers you might be interested in romancing. Alternatively, you might choose to romance the killer, and frankly, that’s my plan!
Renowned horror movie studio-turned-game publisher Blumhouse released a fresh trailer this week, alongside a slated 2026 launch for platforms including PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
The enthralling new trailer elegantly balances joyful crop cultivation, lively NPC conversations, and heart-pounding bloody mysteries.
Grave Seasons‘ Steam page reveals more enticing details. “After narrowly escaping incarceration, you arrive at your newfound sanctuary, Ashenridge, a seemingly perfect town shrouded in eerie mysteries.” It’s here that murders begin to unfold, and you’re tasked with halting them before fingers point to you, the newly arrived ex-convict.
The farming element is more than just a side note. By identifying potential victims, you can craft vital items aimed at saving them and thwarting the supernatural killer’s gruesome plans. I envision by the game’s finale, our towns could differ vastly based on the lives saved or lost, offering a refreshing spin on classic genres.
In a GamesRadar hands-on impression, Ashley Bardhan praised the game for its engaging berry-picking mechanics and, quite humorously, its depiction of visceral details.
