Commuters at London’s Oxford Circus Station were surprised by a startling advertisement claiming that Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is “Out Now.” The game, highly anticipated yet lacking a release date, was featured prominently on a colossal banner highlighting protagonist Samus Aran in her updated suit, alongside the game’s Nintendo Switch 2 Edition logo.
To add to the intrigue, the ad includes a badge proudly stating “Out Now,” which puzzled internet sleuths who couldn’t wait to share this oddity on social media platforms. Metroid Prime 4 ‘out now’ banner spotted in London Underground https://t.co/LXkXMFoytU pic.twitter.com/36fgqCZJlX
June 19, 2025—strangely, the game isn’t available yet. Despite checking the eShop in a rush, reality confirms no shadow launch of Metroid Prime 4. Speculation suggests that a “Coming Soon” or a specific release date tag should have replaced the “Out Now” badge, but it was perhaps mistakenly displayed prematurely.
VGC also reported sightings of other notable game ads, such as Mario Party Jamboree, Donkey Kong Bananza, and Mario Kart World, each flaunting the same “Out Now” template, accidentally providing misinformation to an estimated audience of 120,000 daily commuters. A significant oversight!
While we await the true arrival of Samus’ next thrilling quest later this year, upcoming titles like Donkey Kong Bananza in the following month and Pokemon Legends Z-A slated for October provide plenty of entertainment. Until then, genuine fans can enjoy the best Switch 2 games currently available, promising real adventures. No false alarms here!
