One fan proposed, “base it off the Legends Kenobi novel. It’s a self-contained Tatooine story,” referencing the 2013 novel by John Jackson, which captures Kenobi’s early days in self-exile in a western-style narrative with Jawas and Jabba the Hutt.
Another fan concurred, emphasizing, “This is 100% the answer. It would have been perfect for a TV miniseries. Self-contained. No ‘galactic’ stakes.” The prevailing sentiment among fans is that McGregor’s portrayal should focus on his solitary mission to safeguard Luke from a distance, without intertwining with other familiar faces from the franchise. “We received ample fan service in the initial season.
