As we approach the conclusion of Daredevil: Born Again‘s first season, it’s evident that this isn’t your classic MCU series, and fans are thrilled by its unpredictability. Post the latest episode, viewers have been buzzing on social media about the show’s unexpected intensity.

“When they said there was going to be blood, they truly meant it omfg,” tweeted one excited viewer. Another added: “Matt dragging Muse with the grappling hook, blood painting the floor—it’s brutal, raw, and peak Daredevil.”

Many can’t get over the transformation: “I can’t believe this is an MCU show. It’s excellent, though some criticize it just for the sake of it,” noted an enthusiastic fan. In the episode titled ‘Art’s For Art’s Sake‘, Matt (Charlie Cox) locates Muse, uncovering illustrations of his lover, Heather Glenn (Margarita Levieva), in Muse’s lair. Muse, also known as Bastian Cooper (portrayed by Hunter Doohan), abducts her, but Daredevil’s timely intervention saves Heather, leading to a bloody showdown.

At the climax, Heather shoots Muse, sending him tumbling into the splattered room—a fitting end for someone who turned his victims into his creative expressions. However, not all are comfortable with the intensity: “Ngl, I don’t appreciate Daredevil’s violence this season. It’d be tolerable if it were just for Heather, but Matt seems overly vicious,” remarked a fan.

The reactions have been mixed, as reflected in the outpouring of comments: “As much as I’m gonna miss seeing Muse be my favorite little freak, Matt painting the canvas with his blood as his body becomes one final work of art is an incredibly poetic way for him to go out,” shared another viewer.

While some wish for a more mysterious Muse akin to his comic origins, others appreciate the deep dive into characters and plot intricacies, enjoying the gripping nature of the story as they discuss it extensively online.

Is Daredevil: Born Again too intense for the MCU? It’s certainly a fresh take, streaming on Disney Plus with new episodes landing every Tuesday in the US and Wednesday in the UK. Stay updated with our guide to the Daredevil: Born Again release schedule to ensure you’re in the loop with the latest.
