The Nintendo Switch 2 Direct has finally acknowledged the existence of Hollow Knight: Silksong. Although we don’t have a precise release date, we now know that Silksong will debut in 2025, easing concerns about a potential delay to 2026.
During the anticipated Nintendo Direct presentation, many were ready to hear news about Hollow Knight: Silksong but kept expectations tempered. Excitingly, the game did make an appearance! While only for a brief three seconds, it was mentioned!
The game appeared in a highlight reel featuring upcoming third-party titles for the new system. Although light on new footage, the confirmation of a 2025 release window is as satisfying as a refreshing oasis after years of anticipation.
Despite the lack of a specific date, expectations are cautiously optimistic. This isn’t the first we’ve heard hopeful talk about the game. Back in 2022, Microsoft showcased it during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, promising availability within a year, though details remain limited since.
Recently, players noticed updates on the Steam store page suggesting news might be on the horizon. While we’re not quite at the finish line, the confirmation brings a comforting sense of realism.
Interestingly, in February, Nintendo removed Silksong’s store page from the eShop, fueling speculation about upcoming announcements. This time, our instinct paid off well!
