The highly anticipated first free update for Monster Hunter Wilds from Capcom has finally dropped, surprising fans with a formidable new beast that challenges their skills like never before.
Fans have eagerly awaited the release of Title Update 1, which today marks a significant milestone in Monster Hunter Wilds‘ roadmap. This update introduces new elements such as Mizutsune alongside the Grand Hub and newly designed Arena Quests. Many fans who initially thought the game was “too easy” now find themselves overwhelmed by the reappearance of Zoh Shia, the notorious first final boss of the action RPG.
This new, more daunting version of Zoh Shia has players buzzing online. A Reddit user humorously lamented, “‘MH: Wilds is too easy,’ my ass,” followed by, “WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?” Their post features a snapshot of the challenging Zoh Shia battle, with comments from other players who share their struggles. “Yep, this thing is no joke,” one player chimes in, “Just attempted it first time and failed.”
Other players report similar experiences. One fan states, “Everyone else is like a 10-minute hunt – Zoh Shia took me 30 mins,” punctuated by a simple “DAMN.” Some compare this fierce fight to the demanding battles in Monster Hunter World, Capcom’s 2018 instalment. There’s hope among the community that Capcom will maintain the challenging nature of high-ranking encounters like Zoh Shia. Several players express, “Hopefully, Capcom won’t nerf Zoh Shia.”
As highlighted in our own review, Monster Hunter Wilds is praised for its “best combat in the series,” and this update seems to prove that the game will continue to evolve for the better. Fans can look forward to numerous enhancements, including balance changes, weapon upgrades, and the exciting Festival of Accord: Blossomdance, the game’s initial seasonal event.
Once you’re done mastering one of the best Monster Hunter titles to date, be sure to check out some of the most eagerly anticipated new games coming soon.
