Star Wars Zero Company has been officially revealed at Star Wars Celebration 2025, exciting fans with its nod to some of the saga’s most revered elements.
Unlike any other in the galaxy, Star Wars Zero Company is crafted by Respawn and Bit Reactor—a fresh studio formed by veteran XCOM developers. It’s designed as a tactical turn-based strategy game, echoing the essence of Fire Emblem by allowing players to develop meaningful bonds with their crew, ultimately enhancing battle performance.
Set during the turbulent Clone Wars era, this title ambitiously draws elements from across the vast Star Wars timeline. Bit Reactor CEO and Director Greg Foertsch expressed in a riveting Star Wars Celebration Japan panel that the game is inspired by the “political intrigue” of Andor, the fierce battlefield reality of Rogue One, and the “mythic pulp adventure” found in the original trilogy.
Foertsch highlights, “We admire how these stories honor the intellect of the Star Wars community, and we’ve taken the same path. The characters in Zero Company are far from perfect, exposing vulnerabilities like ‘blaster poisoning’.“
Adding depth, Lucasfilm’s creative executive Kelsey Sharpe noted, “While we’ve historically explored the complexities and moral ambiguities of this universe, Zero Company is poised to be among the first to truly immerse players in these narratives hands-on.”
The celebration also unveiled a thrilling new animated series featuring the notorious Darth Maul and announced Anakin Skywalker’s much-anticipated return in Ahsoka Season 2.
