Though Superman has not yet soared onto the big screen, David Corenswet already knows who he hopes his Man of Steel will encounter next. During the UK premiere, he shared a unique idea about teaming Superman with a DC character who hasn’t seen live-action glory yet via DCU Updates.

“I think, like a Nightwing character, one of Batman’s proteges,” explained the new Superman actor. “Superman has that good dad energy, and I’d love to witness his uncle vibes.”

Of course, Nightwing is none other than Dick Grayson, originally Batman’s first sidekick, Robin, before he shifted away from the iconic red and yellow costume to embark on his own solo superhero adventures. He has since achieved notable success, thanks to writer Tom Taylor’s influence over the past years. Brendon Thwaites portrayed the hero in the short-lived but popular series, Titans.

While some might assume Dick Grayson would be left out of the new DCU film reshuffles, he’s set to feature prominently in one of the most intriguing and eagerly awaited projects. Dynamic Duo, a film directed by Arthur Mintz and penned by Matthew Aldrich (known for Coco), will mix puppetry with CGI to explore Grayson’s partnership with another feisty ex-Robin, Jason Todd. Unfortunately, fans will have to wait, as the movie is slated for a 2028 release.

Meanwhile, another Robin, Damien Wayne, is poised to be molded by his father, Bruce, in the highly anticipated The Brave and the Bold, which remains in development. In the meantime, get ready to watch Superman leap into action in theaters on July 11. To keep updated with every DCU movie and show in the works, click here.
