The eagerly awaited release date for Chainsaw Man – The Movie: Reze Arc is here, marking an exciting 2025 full of anime revelations.
The sequel to the initial season of Chainsaw Man is set to premiere in Japanese theaters on September 19. Unfortunately, a westerner’s chance to experience this cinematic adventure doesn’t yet have a specific date. This exciting announcement was made during a panel at AnimeJapan this year.
Fans are wondering, what does the Reze Arc hold in store? This film serves as a direct extension of Chainsaw Man, replacing what might have been a second season. As the synopsis reveals, “Denji became Chainsaw Man, a boy with a devil’s heart, and is now part of Special Division 4’s devil hunters. Following a memorable date with Makima, Denji finds shelter from a storm, only to encounter Reze, a girl from a café.”
For those familiar with the manga series, this chapter adapts the Bomb Girl arc (chapters 40-52). This storyline is approximately halfway through what is recognized as the series’ first part, the thrilling Public Safety Saga. In short, viewers can expect an explosive experience.
Demon Slayer Infinity Castle is also making waves by presenting the initial segment of the final chapter in Tanjiro’s story on the big screen in July in Japan and later in September in the US and UK.
In terms of TV premieres, the upcoming spring season is set to dazzle with titles like Fire Force season 3, Devil May Cry, and the much-anticipated One Piece return this April.
