The Alien: Earth footage showcased at Disney’s 2025 Annual Meeting of Shareholders has emerged online, presenting the last remaining members of yet another doomed group of space travelers facing the perfect organism (via The Cine Geek).
Emulating the iconic aesthetic introduced by Ridley Scott in 1979, the new clip features Babou Ceesay‘s Morrow aboard a nameless vessel in the MU/TH/UR 6000 control room, filled with an array of lights and buttons tempting to be pressed.
The status of Morrow remains uncertain—whether he is the final commanding officer or an android clinging to the last vestiges of control. Nevertheless, he alerts MU/TH/UR that the “Specimen is loose” while another crew member desperately requests entry. Sadly, it seems improbable as, after initial hesitation, Morrow confirms to the computer that the entire crew has perished and the ship’s impact point is Earth. That’s conveniently in the title!
A new Special Look Trailer for ALIEN: EARTH has been unveiled. #AlienEarth will stream on Disney+ this summer.
This marks the first time we’ll encounter xenomorphs weekly, albeit in a region of space with a less-than-stellar history, considering their prior encounters with the Predator—whose fans speculate might return. Noah Hawley, the mind behind Fargo and Legion, expertly helms this venture, promising his unique twist on this established universe.
Set in 2120, this storyline precedes Ripley’s fateful distress signal by two years, making viewers wary of anyone who bleeds milk and whose innards resemble ramen. This chapter’s plot is outlined as follows: “When a mysterious space vessel crashes on Earth, a young woman (Sydney Chandler) and a scrappy group of tactical soldiers uncover a critical discovery that brings them into contact with the planet’s greatest threat in FX’s eagerly awaited series Alien: Earth, devised by Noah Hawley.”
Timothy Olyphant, Alex Lawther, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl, and Adrian Edmondson will join Chandler in attempting to survive the alien encounter. Discover who survives when Alien: Earth premieres on FX on Hulu later this year. For additional updates direct from The Company, explore everything we know about Alien: Earth here.
