Nicholas Hoult is clearly in high demand, already having completed work on Nosferatu and preparing for the arrival of Superman this summer. Now, he’s adding a thrilling new project to his busy schedule. Hoult is set to headline the newest film by David Leitch, renowned for directing Deadpool 2 and Bullet Train.
Details about the venture are scant at this moment. However, Deadline reveals that Hoult will star in the as-yet-untitled movie, focusing on an intricate bank heist. The production, which took off briskly over the past few months, was propelled forward once Leitch and producer Kelly McCormick joined at the beginning of the year.
This project marks another high-profile addition to Hoult’s expanding filmography. In addition to Nosferatu and Superman, Hoult recently appeared in Juror No. 2 by Clint Eastwood and last year’s The Garfield Movie. With previous roles in films like Mad Max: Fury Road and series such as The Great, his stature in Hollywood continues to rise impressively.
Amazon MGM Studios will handle distribution for this film, having secured the rights shortly after Leitch signed on. The screenplay, penned by Mark Bianculli, marks a shift from his television roots, which include contributions to shows like Hunters and Lincoln Rhyme: Hunt for the Bone Collector.
Filming is slated to commence by late summer, marking the start of yet another high-stakes adventure. Known for his action-packed storytelling, Leitch has carved a niche in Hollywood since making his directorial debut with the John Wick franchise, subsequently directing hits like Atomic Blonde and Fast and Furious Presents: Hobbs and Shaw. Each has enjoyed substantial commercial success and critical acclaim.
With Hoult leading the cast, this film is poised to capture attention. But first, audiences can catch Hoult’s performance in Superman, debuting on July 11, 2025.
