CD Projekt, the parent company of The Witcher 4 and Cyberpunk 2 developer CD Projekt Red, has unveiled its financial performance for 2024. The company achieved nearly $260 million in consolidated revenue and a remarkable $120 million in net profit. This marks the third-highest profit in the company’s history, accomplished without the launch of any new games during the year.
In a video message accompanying the financial results, CD Projekt CFOR Piotr Nielubowicz stated, “Our 2024 financial results are really strong: nearly 1 billion PLN in consolidated revenues and nearly 470 million PLN in net profit.” He emphasized that this is the third-highest profit line in the company’s history and the best result they have ever achieved in a year without major releases.
With The Witcher 4 in full production and concept work for Cyberpunk 2 broadening, Nielubowicz highlighted the occurrence of “record expenditures on development projects” in addition to a “100 million PLN dividend” distributed to investors. Despite these financial activities, CDPR managed to bolster its cash reserves last year, providing them with the autonomy to remain independent financially and creatively.
In a recent interview, CD Projekt’s co-CEOs expressed their stance against following fleeting game industry trends. Echoing this sentiment, Michał Nowakowski mentioned, “we believe that cutting-edge single-player games rooted in strong franchises and immersive narratives will continue to enjoy great popularity.” This commitment has evidently paid off for CDPR so far.
