While Alan Ritchson might consider playing Batman for free, some fans believe he is a more fitting choice for the iconic black suit made famous by Spider-Man. On Reddit, a fan suggested Ritchson could take on the role of Eddie Brock, also known as Venom, if a new version of the character was introduced in the MCU. This idea quickly gained traction among other fans.
The original fan post sparked a lively discussion, with many agreeing that Ritchson would make a better Lethal Protector than a Caped Crusader. One fan remarked, “This is a much more reasonable casting choice than Batman. At least physically, he’s exactly what I’d expect Brock to look like,” adding that Ritchson could portray Brock with a mix of confidence and smart-vs.-reality mentality.
Another fan proposed that while Ritchson could excel as a Venom host, he might shine brighter in a different host role than Eddie Brock. “I think he’d be a Great Venom host. I’m just not sure about Eddie. He’d be good at it, but considering his Reacher role, he’d make a perfect Flash Thompson. Agent Venom,” the fan explained.
In the comics, Flash Thompson—Peter Parker’s former bully played by Tony Revolori in the Tom Holland films—eventually bonds with the symbiote to become a government agent. This transformation gives him extraordinary powers, although he can only remain bonded for 48 hours before risking the symbiote’s complete control.
